Welcome to fiikus
Welcome to fiikus, my personal website. I have maintained my own "homepage" since 1997, but this version saw the daylight in February 2008. A lot of the content accumulated over the years still remains and all file dates have been retained if appropriate.
On this site you will find a variety of material reflecting the person that is me, including prose, medical articles, ASCII art, photography, book recommendations and vegetarian recipes. New content is regularly added. I am so old-fashioned and web 1.0 I even have a guestbook, which again dates back to 1997.
Why fiikus? Because it is phonetically, aesthetically and otherwise pleasant as well as simple and easy to remember. It is simply the Finnish word for the ficus plant.

There are also many new photos, from Reclaim the Streets and the Helsinki samba carnival

Two new ASCII pictures added. Now my novel The Atlas Moth finally has a website as well.
